OFFUTT AFB, Neb. – The USAF Heartland of America Band’s Winds of Freedom will present a concert on Saturday, February 11 at 7:00 p.m. at the Linn-Mar High School Auditorium. This concert is free and open to the public; no advanced tickets are required.
A woodwind quintet with percussion composed of members of the band’s larger performing ensembles, the Winds of Freedom inspires military and civilian audiences to increased patriotism. They also share stirring accounts of the bravery and self-sacrifice of our expeditionary Airmen serving around the globe.
The group showcases its musical diversity with a repertoire of standard woodwind quintet pieces and unique arrangements in a variety of musical styles. At home in large auditoriums or in more intimate chamber concert settings, the Winds of Freedom takes audiences on a tour of some of the world’s most beautiful and exciting music. Each member of the group is a soloist in his or her own right and together they render the perfect blend of tone color and musicianship. For more information, media should contact Staff Sgt. Jennifer Griffith at 402-294-0621.
